Tonight i will be taking Inidious Hulk to my local store for an extended tournament and i will try and report back tonight on how it does. oh because i cant find a kataki ive messed with the sideboard a tad 3 duress 1 boseiju 1 sulfer vent 1 Simian Spirit Guide 1 Shifty Doppleganger 3 Chain of vapor 1 whispmare 1 ingot chewer 1 yixlid jailer 1 protean hulk 1 hapless researcher being able to wish for sacland or simian spirit guide is working awesome so far. heres to 3 free packs tonight. we have free tournys and if we get more than 8 people to turn out the prize is 3 packs for the winner.

While waiting for my mirror enitities to arrive i have put together a U/W blink deck for play at school in ffa multiplayer games. We usually play with just standard cards so its a riff on one of my standard decks.

Today we played a 4 player game and thanks to two galepowder mages removing each other from the game i was able to wrath and end the turn with 2 Mage, 1 Ark, 2 BodyArk, 1 mulldrifter, 1 venser, 1 riftwatcher, and one cloudscate. it felt really cheaty but everyone thought it was neat and i didnt feel like a dbag for playing an overpowered deck. I ended the game on like 46 life. so try it out its pretty fun.

I used to have a band called the casioanuts. We used a lot of obscure references, mine were to magic cards sometimes. i uploaded one of our songs on my music thing here and uhh yah its got no magic references but its the only one i could find while at work. so yah give it a listen and let me know what you think ps.

sb havent worked on it much but something like
4x Tarfire 4x Eyes of the Wisent 4x hurly burly 3x Ingot Chewer I would run more CC's and maybe another vault if i had em, but other than that as far as maindeck goes i am very happy with this deck. its been beating other block decks turn 5 or 6 pretty handily.
Nova Chaser is totally insane with this deck. I have yet to lose a game where i cast it. The harbingers go for it or a banneret usually though if playing against black i can grab CC and go to town with it.

Have you ever get to a point where you are always the target in multiplayer games? Ever since high school back in the bad old Mercadian Masques days I have reveled in that position. I find the fun of multiplayer magic to be similar to the fun i have playing monopoly. The cards (properties) you play (buy) are important but not so much as what you say to the people you are playing with and the alliances you form. I'm sure this is not groundbreaking news to anyone who has ever played more than a duel, but i think I really enjoy hearing about other's experiences and sharing mine as they come. 2.5.08 - Lansing Community College - A&S Lunchroom On Wednesdays i only have thirty minutes to an hour so i can realistically only get one quick game in at lunch. I was playing my green black pretty standard elves deck that is tweaked a bit more for multiplayer. My three fellow players were playing black/red hellbent-burn-plaugesliver-rat concoction, blue/splashwhite merfolk mill (drowner, grimoire thief, commerce...), red/green mana ramp/pyrohemia . The kid has just built the merfolk and thanks to my suggestion had added white for schoolmaster and judge of currents. I had an oppening hand of a couple commands and a perfect with a village and and two gilt leafs and a forest. I played out everything as quickly as i could because i knew i was going to try and take down the mill deck before it could get to milling 20 to 30 cards a turn (merfolk commerce totally stack..). along the way the pyrohemia kid dropped down the decks name sake and an urza's armor i have put down another perfect at this point and generated a 3/3 elf. I tell him on his turn to pyro for 2 as the merfolk player had just harbinged for rejeerey and the pyro guy only had two mountains out. He does. we all pass with the only play being a plauge sliver from the b/r kid. the merfolk player actually keeps cards back (not something he usually does so good job to him). on my turn i lay a third perfect and swing at pyrohemia for 16 which because of his armor hits him for 12 and drops him to 8. The plauge sliver swings my way and i chump with an elf. Pyrohemia for 4 leaves me with an empty board. That plauge sliver then finishes him of with some red sorcery that makes his guy a 10/5. Merfolk drops a stonybrook angler. I profane a perfect and cast a vanquisher. I take a hit from the Sliver and then Milly goes on to just drop his hand onto the table thanks to banneret + reejerey and ends his turn with a jace at 11 counters 2 merfolk commerce, stonybrook ink dissolver, and a harbinger fetching a drowner of secrets for the top of his library. My turn comes up and thanks to profane command i should be able to swing for the kill on the mill guy but i get one of my guys tapped (should have made my village a creature and given it fear. So i swing the mill deck to 2 and start thinking about a way not to die. B/R player plops down my salvation ** crypt yah-you-remember-the-spirit-link-unquestioned-authority-combo rats **. so through a bit of cajoling i tell him to shoot it off and wrath the board. i am down to 10 at this point but thanks to one more command i take the game. I should not have won this game but thanks to getting other players to use their cards (showing them how it hurt me as well) i was able to win. I am sorry if this is terribly boring but I enjoyed writing it and maybe 1 or 2 of you will enjoy reading it and write back with your stories.

Last night i made my way out for the release event to play in some triple morningtide draft. First pack i see an Auntie's Snitch and not much else so i take it and start thinking about rogues. Second pack i see a foily frogtosser along with a prickly boggart that i hope will make it back to me. Next we get a latchkey faerie and seem pretty set in U/B rogues. I finish out the draft with close to the following deck 1 Auntie's Snitch 2 Frogtosser Bannerets 2 Prickly Boggart 2 Violet Pall 2 Morsel Theft 2 Pack's Disdain 4 Dewdrop Spy 1 Latchkey Faerie 3 Fencer Clique 1 Thieves Fortune 2 Mothdust Changeling 1 Distant Melody 7 Swamps 10 Islands Rd 1 Opponent is David, who is a cordial player who I have only played in maybe 3 or 4 matches though we have been in the same pod 14 or 15 times. 1st pack he ripped a mutavault, (something opened first pack of every pod last night. He is playing a G/W deck thats got 4 on color rares (including the vault). 1st game he leads with vault and a banneret on turn 2. i get mothdust turn 1 and frogtosser turn 2. Since im on the play i prowl out a latchkey and theives fortune turn 3 and by turn 6 the game is over. 2nd game i proceed to not draw a swamp til turn 10 and he gets his green which he uses for cream of the crop and game trail changeling, as well as the bane of rogues everywhere battletide alchemest which was around unil i drew that swamp. so i write this game off to a little bad luck and move on to game 3. 3rd game i see an opening grip with 2 islands and a swamp as well as prickly boggart, morsel theft, latchkey, and thieves fortune. Turn 5 comes around and all i have drawn are islands and swamps save a dewdrop but i get him down to 5 before little miss cleric (yes its a may ability and yes its per source...) shows up. His board is a couple could be serras, a couple changelings, a vault and cream of the crop. I have about 2 turns to draw a pall or packs disdain which im thinking should happen because after seeing almost half of my cards not one has shown its face. two turns later im dead with about 5 lands in hand. Second pod I am on rogues again and this time even better ones with cheaper removal. 5 of the six games i play i draw no or mostly land. bad beats i know...

This evening i will be attending my first midnight release since Dissention. I am torn between which store to go to in my town as they are both about ten minutes away and im not sure which place the sharks will go to (you know the kind that will be looking to rip those mutavaults and murmuring bosks from kids looking to get their chameleon collosi and boldwyr heavyweights). I would really love to draft some lor-lor-mor but i do not think many who have been opening gilt of the nath leaf, and wanderwine prophet for the umpteenth time will be interested in any more of it so crazy not as intended 24 pack morningtide drafts will be happening. I am thinking of trying to go green/black heavy reach folk/elf/archer to be able to keep those rouges at bay and clean up with some (hopefully) late pick drag*err treefolk. Who knows if anyone will read this but ill update tomorrow with how i do (and how i lucksacked 4 'vaults and bosks.
