Light of destruction overview:

With The sneak preview for LODT only a couple weeks away, I thought it was time to print out the card listings, and look at effects, so I can go in prepared.
This Pack, (I have to admit) is not the best we've seen in the past years. It does, have many good cards, and a very strategic archetype, but the new cards are more meant for old players who wanted more for the cards they have.

I’ve complied a list of the 2 new major arches, followed by an analysis of each, then ending with a spotlight of those cards, outside these two types that are worth while to have.

Light lords

LODT-JP001 Honest
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/4/1100/1900
During your Main Phase, you can return this face-up card on the field to your hand. Also, if a face-up LIGHT monster you control battles, by sending this card from the hand to the Graveyard during the Damage Step, the ATK of that monster is increased by the ATK of the monster it battles with until the End Phase

LODT-JP018 Light lord Paladin Jean
LIGHT/Warrior - Effect/4/1800/1200
When this card attacks an opponent's monster, its ATK is increased by 300 Points during the Damage Step only. While you control this face-up card, during each of your End Phases, send 2 cards from top of your Deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP019 Light lord Magician Leila
LIGHT/Spellcaster/4/1700/200
Change this face-up Attack Position card you control to face-up Defense Position, destroy 1 Magic or Trap card your opponent controls. If you activated this effect, until the end of your next turn, this card cannot change its Battle Position. While you control this face-up card, during each of your End Phases, send 3 cards from top of your deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP020 Light lord Warrior Garos
LIGHT/Warrior - Effect/4/1850/1300
When a card(s) are sent from the Deck to the Graveyard by the effect of a face-up Light lord monster you control except "Light lord Warrior Garos", send 2 cards from top of your deck to your Graveyard. For each "Light lord" monster send to Graveyard by this effect, draw 1 card.

LODT-JP021 Light lord Summoner Luminous
LIGHT/Spellcaster – Effect/3/1000/1000
Once per turn, by discarding 1 card from your hand Special Summon 1 Level 4 or less "Light lord" monster from your Graveyard to your field. While you control this face-up card, during each of your End Phases, send 3 cards from top of your Deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP022 Light lord Hunter Raikou
LIGHT/Beast - Effect/2/200/100
Flip: You can destroy 1 card on the field. Send 3 cards from top of your deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP023 Light lord Beast Wolf
LIGHT/Beast warrior - Effect/4/2100/300
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. When this card is sent from your deck to your Graveyard, Special Summon this card to your field.

LODT-JP024 Light lord Angel Cherubim
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/5/2300/200
When this card is successfully Tribute Summoned by Tributing a "Light lord" monster, by sending 4 cards from top of your Deck to the Graveyard, destroy up to 2 cards your opponent controls.

LODT-JP025 Light lord Dragon Gragonis
LIGHT/Dragon/6/2000/1600
Increase the ATK and DEF of this card by 300 Points for each "Light lord" monster in your Graveyard. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, and its ATK exceeds the DEF of that monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. While you control this face-up card, during each of your End Phases, send 3 cards from top of your Deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP026 Judgment Dragoon
LIGHT/Dragon - Effect/8/3000/2600
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except when you have 4 or more "Light lord" monster with different names in your Graveyard. By paying 1000 Life Points, destroy all cards on the field except this card. While you control this face-up card, during each of your End Phases, send 4 cards from top of your Deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP047 Earth of Demise
Quick-Play Magic
You can only activate this card when your opponent successfully Special Summoned a monster. Select 1 Field Magic from your Deck and activate it.

LODT-JP052 Solar Exchange
Normal Magic
Activate by discarding 1 “Light lord” monster from your hand. Draw 2 cards from your deck, afterwards send 2 cards from top of your deck to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP053 Justice World
Field Magic
When a card(s) is sent from your deck to the Graveyard, put 1 Shine Counter on this card. For each Shine Counter on this card, increase the ATK of "Light lord" monster on the field by 100 Points. When this face-up card on the field is destroyed by an effect, remove 2 Shine Counter from this card instead and it is not destroyed.

LODT-JP070 Light Resilience
Continuous Trap
When a card(s) is sent from the deck to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Light lord" monster, remove from play the top card of your opponent's deck.

LODT-JP071 Illusion of Flashing Light
Continuous Trap
Select 1 “Light lord” monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in Attack Position. During each of your End Phases, send 2 cards from top of your deck to the Graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, that monster is destroyed. If that monster is removed from the field, this card is destroyed.


    This deck type is the kind that "sounded good on paper", (Giving up your deck in order to use powerful car5ds with a large killer dragon at the end). Its a deck based on self milling, with (in the OCG) only 5 cards that can support your monsters, not one of which, will return your monsters or negate the milling effects. This is also the kind of deck that Macro is your worst enemy, making this a very dangerous deck to use, if not used properly. the 3 jewels of this deck are  Wolf, Dragoon, and Gragonis ."Judgment Dragoon" is the decks ace card, by paying 1000 life points you can destroy every card on the field except dragoon, and with a cool 3000 ATK (to demise's who has 2400 and the same effect for 2000 life points) This deck can really put a damper on many plans.
    If you do run this deck, be careful run 3 dragoons, so that you have a better chance of getting him out, with all the self milling going on, as well as 3 pot of avarice, and a transmigration prophecy, with the knowledge that your deck will not last as long as your opponents. Also you should use 50+ cards here, (40 is suicide) 2 of which should include foolish burial, so that you can bring out wolf.
    Despite the flaw of this deck (which is actually a pretty big one), monsters here would be limited if not for the milling side effect,(which in the long run can help you win.
    When (and if) this deck becomes a major used deck type you can expect Needle worms to make a comeback. If your going to be competing in a sneak preview tournament expect this arche to become widely used.

LODT-JP008 Arcana Force 0 - THE FOOL
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/1/0/0
This card cannot be destroyed by battle. This card cannot be changed to Defense Position. When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: Negate the effects of your Magic, Trap and Effect Monster cards that target this card and destroy them.
- Tail: Negate the effects of your opponent's Magic, Trap and Effect Monster cards that target this card and destroy them.

LODT-JP009 Arcana Force I - THE MAGICIAN
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/4/1100/1100
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: When a Magic card was activated, until the End Phase of that turn the original ATK of this card is doubled.
- Tail: Increase your opponent's Life Points by 500 Points each time a Magic card is activated.

LODT-JP010 Arcana Force III - THE EMPRESS
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/4/1300/1300
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: When your opponent successfully Normal Summons a monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Arcana Force" monster from your hand.
- Tail: When your opponent successfully Normal Summons a monster, send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard.

LODT-JP011 Arcana Force IV - THE EMPEROR
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/4/1400/1400
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: Increase the ATK of all face-up "Arcana Force" monster you control by 500 Points.
- Tail: Reduce the ATK of all face-up "Arcana Force" monster you control by 500 Points.

LODT-JP012 Arcana Force VI - THE LOVERS
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/4/1600/1600
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: When an "Arcana Force" monster is Tribute Summoned, this card can be treated as 2 Tributes.
- Tail: "Arcana Force" monster cannot be Tribute Summoned.

LODT-JP013 Arcana Force VII - THE CHARIOT
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/4/1700/1700
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can Special Summon that monster to your field.
- Tail: Give control of this card to your opponent.

LODT-JP014 Arcana Force XIV - TEMPERANCE
LIGHT/Angel – Effect/6/2400/2400
By discarding this card from your hand, only once reduce Battle Damage you would take to 0. When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: Battle Damage you take is halved.
- Tail: Battle Damage your opponent takes is halved.

LODT-JP015 Arcana Force XVIII - THE MOON
LIGHT/Angel – Effect/7/2800/2800
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: You can Special Summon 1 "Moon Token" (Angel-Type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your field during your Standby Phase.
- Tail: During each of your End Phases, select 1 monster you control, and give control of that monster to your opponent.

LODT-JP016 Arcana Force XXI - THE WORLD [Super Rare]
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/8/3100/3100
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: By sending 2 monster you control to the Graveyard during your End Phase, skip your opponent's next turn.
- Tail: During your opponent's Draw Phase, your opponent adds the top card in their Graveyard to their hand.

LODT-JP017 Arcana Force EX - THE DARK RULER
LIGHT/Angel - Effect/10/4000/4000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 monster you control to the Graveyard. When this card is successfully Special Summoned, toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is gained.
- Head: This card can attack twice during the Battle Phase. When this effect was used to battle twice, this card is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. Until the end of your next turn this card cannot change its Battle Position.
- Tail: When this card is destroyed, destroy all cards on the field.

LODT-JP050 Cup of Ace
Normal Magic
Toss 1 coin, if Head, draw 2 cards. If Tails, your opponent draws 2 cards.

LODT-JP051 Light Boundary
Field Magic
During your Standby Phases toss 1 coin. If the result is Tail, the effect of this card is negated until your next Standby Phase.
- For the effect of "Arcana Force" monster activating when successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned, no coin is tossed and you select which result to apply instead. When an "Arcana Force" monster destroys an opponent's monster as a result of battle, increase your Life Points by the original ATK of the destroyed monster.

LODT-JP067 Reversal of Fate [Rare]
Normal Trap
Activate by selecting 1 face-up "Arcana Force" monster you control. The selected monster's effect gained by the coin toss becomes the opposite effect.

LODT-JP068 Death's Tour
Continuous Trap
During your opponent turn’s Standby Phases toss 1 coin and depending on the result, the following effect is applied:
- Head: Your opponent cannot Normal Summon or Flip Summon until the End Phase.
- Tail: You cannot Normal Summon or Flip Summon during your next turn.

LODT-JP069 Arcana Call
Normal Trap
Activate by selecting 1 face-up "Arcana Force" monster you control. Remove from play 1 "Arcana Force" monster in a Graveyard. Until the End Phase, the coin toss effect gained by the selected monster becomes the same effect as the monster that was removed from play gains from that coin toss.

what can I say about this deck type, except, NEXT!
    To start the cards here are all huge risks if you get a bad flip you'll end up giving your opponent the game. only 2 cards here are even worth using the world and dark ruler, the rest are filler at best. I had high hopes for this arche a while back but now that I’ve read the effects, I cant see them being used. Hopefully the rest of the arcanas will be better than these.

LODT-JP003 Miracle Flipper
LIGHT/Spellcaster - Effect/2/300/500
If there is a face-up "Miracle Flipper" you control, this card cannot be Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned. While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select another face-up monster as target of an attack. When this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon this card to your opponent's field. When this card is destroyed by the effect of a Magic or Trap card, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.

Start hording those grass choppers and asura priests there’s a new OTK in town, and this card is a key player
first get this card and an asura priest or a double summoned  grass chopper, next have spirit barrier active. attack one monster with this kid, then when he comes up on the opposing side kill him with your multi attacker, repeat as needed.

LODT-JP006 Android - Psycho Returner [Rare]
DARK/Machine - Effect/3/600/1400
This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Android - Psycho Shocker" from your Graveyard. An "Android -Psycho Shocker" Special Summoned by this effect is destroyed during the End Phase of your turn.

LODT-JP007 Android - Psycho Lord [Super Rare]
DARK/Machine - Effect/8/2600/1600
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 1 face-up "Android - Psycho Shocker" you control to the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, Trap cards cannot be activated and the effects of all Trap cards on the field are negated. Once per turn, you can destroy all face-up Trap cards on the field. For each card destroyed by this effect inflict 300 Points of Damage to your opponent's Life Points.
//"Android - Psycho Shocker" is "Jinzo" in the TCG.

Finally  Its actually worth running 3 jinzos with these new support cards.

LODT-JP027 Dark Valkyria
DARK/Angel - Dual/4/1800/1050
This card is treated as Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. When performing Second Summon of this card while it is face-up on the field, treat it as Normal Summon. This card becomes an Effect Monster and gains the following effect:
- While this card remains face-up, only once you can put 1 Magic Counter on this card. For each Magic Counter on this card increase this card's ATK by 300 Points. Also, by removing 1 Magic Counter, destroy a monster on the field.

sure I’m against more then 90% of geminis but this one is worth using, all of a sudden those magic counter cards are even better. this card has no limit but can only use its self gaining effect once.

LODT-JP035 Disk Rider
WIND/Demon – Effect/4/1700/1500
Remove from play 1 Normal Trap card in your Graveyard, and increase the ATK of this card by 500 Points until the End Phase of your opponent's turn. This effect can only be used once per turn.

gustaph that recycles all those normal traps you usually use once anyway.

LODT-JP042 Dragoon D-END [Ultra Rare/Ultimate Rare]
DARK/Warrior - Fusion/10/3000/3000
Destiny Hero Plasma + Destiny Hero Dogma
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. Once per turn you can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage equal to that monster's ATK to your opponent's Life Points. During the turn this effect was used, you cannot perform your Battle Phase. When this card is in your Graveyard during your Standby Phase, by removing from play 1 "D-Hero" card in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card.

with the 3000 ATK, destruction, damaging, and resurrecting effects all at once, this card is a keeper. Run him with ALOT of D. heroes.

LODT-JP043 Antique Gear Ultimate Golem [Ultra Rare/Ultimate Rare]
EARTH/Machine - Fusion/10/4400/3400
Antique Gear Golem + 2 "Antique Gear" monster
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card attacks a monster in Defense Position, and its ATK exceeds the DEF of that monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. When this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Magic or Trap cards until the end of the Damage Step. When this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Antique Gear Golem" from your Graveyard ignoring its Summoning Conditions.

Uses Ancient Gear golem, and several Random Gear monsters to get out this brutal powerhouse. who has a wicked 4400, best of all, along with having gear golems effects when he dies you can bring the 3000 atk machine back from the dead

Well that wraps up the  review
as you can see many good cards, nothing of DAD caliber (except Judgment dragoon, and D-END), but a pretty decent line up.
