Most Gadget decks focus on Anti-Meta. With such decks, duelists use cards like Kycoo and Banisher to help with the Anti Meta. However, such cards are random and can't usually be recruited by other cards. With this deck, EVERY monster is recruitable in their own special and yet affective way. This deck is not only fun to use and competitive, but affordable too. The most expensive cards in here are cards that most duelists have or can be substituted with similar or similar-category cards. And the subtitutes are affordable indeed. Mirror Force for example is an advanced Sakuretsu Armor. If you do not have a Mirror Force and don't want to spend the $20-$30 for one, use Sakuretsu Armor. Solemn Judgment is a powerful negate card. Some cards that have negate effects are Devine Wrath, Magic Jammer, Magic Drain, Seven Tools of the Bandit, and Forced Back. This deck is fun to use and I must share it with the world. Here it is:
Monsters: 20 2x Green Gadget (SD10-EN006) 2x Red Gadget (SD10-EN007) 2x Yellow Gadget (SD10-EN008) 3x Giant Rat (SD7-EN003) 2x Exiled Force (SDDE-EN009) 3x D.D. Assailant (SDDE-EN017) 3x D.D. Warrior (SDDE-EN006) D.D. Warrior Lady (SDDE-EN010) Neo-Spacian Grand Mole (STON-EN005) Sangan (SDJ-EN019)
Spells: 15 3x Enemy Controller (SDDE-EN025) 3x Shrink (STON-ENSE2) 2x Book of Moon (YSDS-EN025) 2x Reinforcement of the Army (SDDE-EN022) Smashing Ground (IOC-093) Mystical Space Typhoon (SDDE-EN019) Heavy Storm (YSDS-EN024) Fissure (YSD-EN25) Lightning Vortex (SDDE-EN026)
Traps: 7 3x Royal Oppression (LOD-EN091) 2x Bottomless Trap Hole (SDDE-EN032) Torrential Tribute (SDDE-EN031) Mirror Force (MRD-138)
MONSTERS: Only 1 Non-Common in this bunch, and it's only a Silver Letter. All these monsters can be found for less than $5.00. That's a bargain! Especially for a competitive deck! All of the Monsters in her either recruit, can be recruited, or both. That means that almost all the monsters in here can just come to your hand or field without drawing. The only card that cannot be recruited is a recruiter known as Sangan. The Gadgets can recruit themselves so not only do you have field advantage and hand advantage, but you most of the time cannot run out of monsters to play. Another great thing is that none of the monsters in this deck is a -1. That means you get equal advantage or greater! Giant Rat, another recruiter, is a GREAT monster for this deck. It gives not only field presence but it gives you any 1500 or less Earth Monster you desire in this deck. You can recruit a Gadget (if necessary) or 1 of the 3 possible one/one 1500 or less Earth Monsters. Those Monsters are Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, whom can create one of the most annoying locks in the game, the Mole Lock. Without damage, Mole can bounce ANY Monster to their owner's hand, making your opponent have to summon that monster again! With the D.D. Monsters you can ram or take a hit and remove the monster it battled. That's cool! And since all 3 of them can be searched out by Reinforcement of the Army, these guys can be easy to get your hands on. Exiled Force (along with D.D. Warrior) is Multi-Recruitable. In fact, all the recruiters in this deck can recruit D.D. Warrior and Exiled Force. The D.D. Monsters can even stop the great Prime Material Dragon!
SPELLS: The only card in this section that is not a common is Shrink. It's not usually found in stores any more but it can be purchased for about $3-$5. The majority of the cards are deck-support. And the majority of the deck support can be used in battle and on your opponent's turn. Shrink is one of my favorites. Shrink can knock high ATK Monsters down a peg or two. Enemy Controller, can either stall or take control. It's first choice of battle changing can help with this deck really well, since most of the monsters in today's metagame have less DEF than ATK. Book of Moon not only changes battle but flips the monster face-down. This is especially delicious, since most effect monsters have to be face-up for their effects to apply. Fissure, Smashing Ground, and Lightning Vortex are their for when your Quick Plays just couln't handle the obstacle. So these guys will take care of the situation. Finally, Heavy Storm and Mystical Space Typhoon take care of those pesky Spell and Trap cards.
TRAPS: Not very many as usual, but all of them pack a punch. Royal Oppression is an excellent card. Since your opponent can use it, this deck's only Special Summon is Giant Rat and it survives Royal Oppression's wrath. Bottomless Trap Hole takes care of high attackers and can stop most big monsters out there. Finally, the big 2, Torrential Tribute and Mirror Force. Both are great table-turners and can cause a huge explosion on your opponent's side of the field.
Now that I've showed you the deck, I'll show you a suggested side deck that I've made to help with just-in-case situations:
Side Deck: 15 D.D. Crow (STON-EN024) Snipe Hunter (SDRL-EN018) 3x Prohibition (PSV-039) 2x Twister (STON-EN042) 3x Pulling the Rug (STON-EN060) 2x Light-Imprisoning Mirror (GLAS-EN069) 2x Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror (GLAS-EN070) Solemn Judgment (MRD-127)
Well there ya go. That's the Recruiter Gadget deck, or as I like to call it, GadRat. If you'd like to try it out, go ahead. This deck is really fun and competitive. It's also great for those on budget because it's so affordable.
This is Cybergadget11 saying to the world of duelists, Play with Passion, but Play for Fun!

Most duelists run a 15 card deck seperate from his/her deck known simply as the side deck. The side deck can be used for turning your deck into a completely different deck, keeping cards for just-in-case situations, turning the advantage towards you when facing a good deck, or just keeping cards that can be used as an addition or substitution for other cards. Side decks are one of the most considered things in Yugioh. Usually, almost every match consists of at least 1 duelists sideboarding. There can be many cards considered for the side deck. I've seen some very original decisions that have been used in the side deck. I've even seen side decks that contain cards that have NOTHING to do with the main theme of the deck. Here are the choices of how your side deck can be run: JUST-IN-CASE SITUATIONS
A Just-in-case Side Deck consists of cards that are used to shut down the deck your opponent is using. When your match begins and your opponent plays, it's usually the first, second, or third monster that gives away their deck strategy. An exception to this theory is the Cookie Cutter. When you find out your opponent's deck strategy, you can side deck the cards that will shut down the opponent's deck or at least slow it down. Some major cards that can be considered for this are cards that negate and cards that forbid, like Royal Oppression and Prohibition. Cards that help with shutting down a Frequent Special Summon type of deck is Vanity's Fiend, Royal Oppression, and all the cards that stop the Special Summon. Another type of Just-In-Case Situation Side Deck is one that runs cards that will hurt your deck if you main deck it, but will ruin your opponent's deck if you side deck it. An example is Heavy Storm. If you're Main Decking Royal Oppression, you most of the time don't want Heavy Storm to crowd your deck and be a bad card with your Oppression on the field. So, you side deck it. In the case that your opponent doesn't Special Summon that much, you can side Oppression and run Heavy Storm. Other great cards for Just-in-case Side Decks are Twister and Prohibition. Twister is a card that at just 500 Life Points, you can destroy a face-up Spell or Trap card. Even though that's situational, you can side it against your opponent's Oppression, Prohibition, Royal Decree, etc. Prohibition is a card that forbids the play of any card you declare. Prohibitors usually bully poor Gladiator Beast Bestiari with this card. But it can be stopped agains other cards too, most of the time constantly played cards like Mirror Force or Crush Card Virus. DECK METAMORPHOSIS
Now this is one of the weirdest ways to sideboard, but it works. The trick is to side 15 cards for 15 cards and make an entirely new deck. If you decide to use your side deck like this, here's a few hints. The new theme should have a little to do with the deck you were using, but very little. It's a really good idea to Main Deck cards that would help with both themes of the deck. For example, you want to change your Chimeratech OTK into a Gadget Deck. A good idea would be to main Limiter Removal throughout and never side deck. Another example is changing a Monarch deck into a Macro Deck. A great idea is to keep the Monarchs in there and Side Deck the cards that are only good for a regular Monarch Deck. ADDITION
This type of side deck contains cards that add to the set of Main Deck cards. A great example is Enemy Controller. If you don't have room for 3 E-Cons. You can side 1 or 2 and Main Deck the rest. The others can be used in addition to the Main Deck. Of course you will have to substitute cards, but a good idea is to substitute cards that have similar effects with the side card. SUBSTITUTION
The wise kind of subsitution is substituting cards with similar effects or for cards that don't work against the deck you're competing against. For example, you can substitue Enemy Controller for Sakuretsu Armor or Vanity's Fiend for Royal Oppression. This kind of substitution will provide more options for your deck and some surprises for your opponent. Well there ya go. Those can be some ideas to consider and use. If you wanna try these out, go ahead. You'll be glad ya did.
August, the month of the Sneak Preview for a huge impact on the TCG: The Duelist Genesis. Basically, this pack will change Yu-gi-oh! in general, but how much? Firstly, I'd like to point out a new type of Monster will debut. It's called Psychic, which is completely cool. That just leaves another victim for Tribe-infecting Virus for those who play Traditionally. Anywho, Psychic-Type Monsters will have an interesting change. Maybe a Psychic deck will be made. Who knows? More importantly, I shall get to the topic of this blog, Synchro Monsters. These guys aren't Fusion Monsters, however they DO go in the Fusion Deck, which is now known as the "Extra Deck" in OCG. They also work like Fusion Monsters and return to the Fusion Deck (Extra Deck) when bounced to the hand or deck. How are these bad babies summoned? That's the tricky part. They need Tuner Monsters in order to be summoned. When the Monsters on the Synchro's description have equal level to the Synchro Monster, you can tribute them to Special Summon the Synchro Monster. Sounds difficult right? Well let's see if they're playable. The following should be considered when playing with Synchros. Should there be an entire deck made of Tuners and Synchros? That is a common question with these cards. Synchros are playable, but can they make a solid deck of just themselves? First, let's look at what you have to do in order to Synchro Summon. For example: Let's say you wanted to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon (TDGS-JP040)". The Monsters on the description are 1 Tuner Monster and 1 Non-Tuner Monster. That means that you have to have 2 Monsters on the field, with a combined LV of 8, which is Stardust Dragon's LV. This should mean that if you wanted to base your deck on simply Tuners and Synchros, you'd also have to run non-Tuners. This means that you don't want JUST Tuners or you'll never get what you need. So running other monsters is a priority. However, most monsters that would be ran in this deck would have nothing to do with the deck other than provide for the Synchro. This means you'd have half a Synchro and half random. So therefore they should not run in a deck based on only themselves.
Are the Tuners splashable? Basically if they cannot be run in 1 deck by themselves, they're splashable. This is sorta like Destiny Heros. There are some incredible combos that you could pull off with Tuners and other Monsters. This would create a surprise attack on your opponent. It can create a totally different type of deck that doesn't JUST focus on itself.
What cards should I consider as a warning in case i want to Synchro Summon? Any cards that negate or cease the ability to Special Summon. That's right, Synchros are Specials so that means that Royal Oppression, Vanity's Fiend, Black Horn of Heaven, etc. can stop Synchros. Another thing is that this would change the Lore on Success Probability 0% to "Send 2 Monsters from your opponent's Extra Deck to the Graveyard." So that's another biggy. The other thing is Bottomless Trap Hole. Those are only some of the cards you need to worry about.
Yugioh's been around for over 5 years now and there hasn't been a funner card game. However, Yugioh can be split into different worlds, each almost completely different. There are those who play Yugioh for giggles. They play non-competitive yet creative decks that are used just for fun. In the other world, there's the highly competitive player's who play for fun but also play to be the Champion. These guys play decks all alike, and some different. Some creative decks make top 16, but they don't last long. It's usually the top Metagame deck that makes championship. So I went looking around and saw some interesting decks. I also saw some incredibly competive decks that looked almost exactly like the guy sitting next to him. Those decks, also known has Net-decks, are very powerful. So people are wondering, how do you counter them? Well I have looked into it and found a few cards for the top Yugioh decks. I also have found out why they are winning and how they do it. So here they are:
Gladiator Beast A Gladiator Beast deck is one of the most consistent deck. Using cards like Test Tiger and Elemental Hero Prisma to manipulate through it extremely, this deck is very dominant. The main idea in the Gladiator Beasts used in tournys is to bring out Gladiator Beast Gyzarus or to just crush the opponent. Gyzarus, the very destructive Gladiator Beast kills 2 cards as soon as he hits the field. That can be a problem for players facing it. However, it's a fusion monster which can give the opportunist the opportunity for an opportune moment. Success Probability 0% can help with that. However, smart GB Deck Runners run more than just Gyzarus. In fact, some duelists run fusion monsters that have nothing to do with their deck just to prevent Success Probability 0%, and it works. So GB decks now have the advantage. But, Gyzarus and Heraklinos neither use Polymerization so it's much easier to summon. The other powerful card is GB Heraklinos. Though harder to summon, he can negate Spell or Traps by discarding 1 card. That's amazing. Just imagine GB Gyzarus and Heraklinos all on the same side of the field. Game breaking!!! But not broken. See there are many cards out there that can destroy the GB deck. Here they are: GB DECK WEAKNESSES: 1. Deck Lockdown 2. Fossil Dyna Psychaphelo 3. Solemn Judgment 4. Success Probability 0% 5. Jowgen the Spiritualist 6. Royal Oppression 7. Prohibition (Just call Bestiari, the material for Gyzarus)
Dark Armed Dragon This deck was reigning supreme before GB got popular, now it has stepped down a peg, but it's still one of the most powerful decks in the meta. Why? Simple. Dark Armed Dragon. This card sets up most OTKs for this deck. All the player has to do is get exactly 3 DARK monsters in the Graveyard. But, look at the main words. EXACTLY 3 MONSTERS. That's your opportunity. Well, one of them. Card's like D.D. Crow and Disappear can sorta help with that. But the EXACTLY isn't the main deal. It's the PREVENTION. Card's like Solemn Judgment, Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror, and Bottomless Trap Hole can stop him. But not the OTK. How to you prevent the OTK? Easy. Since the MAY 9 changes, only 2 kinda cards can be run in order to cause this OTK. The 1st one is an equip spell that has a discard cost. It only Special Summons 1 and destroys the monster when destroyed. So cards that destroy Spell Cards are needed to stop it. Otherwise, do it the hard way and go against the monster. The other is Return from the Different Dimension. Simple cards like Bottomless and Solemn Judgment can prevent this. With these, not only did they pay half for nuttin' but their OTK has vanished due to RFTDD Being limited and Dimension Fusion being banned. So there are many weaknesses and here are the ways to counter them:
DAD Weaknesses: 1. Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror 2. Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer 3. Royal Oppression 4. Fossil Dyna Psychaphelo 5. Jowgen the Spiritualist 6. Solemn Judgment 7. Bottomless Trap Hole 8. Necrovalley's 2nd Effect.
There ya go. Now, you can find affordable ways to defeat the unaffordable. Also, don't forget to duel wisely.
