Ok so here is my follow-up and conclusion of my control article.I took longer than planned because of...yes, you guessed it, the mid-format change.I'll get to that later. So here is the last 2 cards I'll be discussing.
Rainbow Life.Rainbow Life will save your life."Bangil,wtf...this card isn't control?"I know thats what a lot of you are thinking because your only looking at it.Now think about it.You played one of the 4 dragons.LaDD,Judgment,Dark Armed,or Rainbow Dark.I chained with this.Are you going to attack?No?That's what I thought.This card controls you opponents battle phase.Ya know the phase you usually lose in?So consider it.
These days are crazy.With all the drawing spells they keep giving us, it's no wonder they had to go stop,wait...immediate format change.So even though they didn't really cripple it too much, they're still a threat.So what do you do?You tech Drastic Drop Off.Gadgets,Stratos,Solar Recharge,Destiny Draw,Allure of Darkness,Trade-In,Valleys,and Disk Commander are all vulnerable under this card.These cards are whats making this format change.So why not change their chances to only half.This card is sick and if you're going to run a control deck, you better be packing a playset.

Of all three deck types in Yugioh, control was the hardest to make, with the limited choice. Now, however, we have a lot of choices and really good ones. I'm going to explain which cards are prime choice.
The one everyone knows about now is Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo.Now I'm not going to insult your knowlegde with the effect. This card is gold.Shutting down both Dragons and all the Special Summon magic your opponent had in store.DDT is gone against this along with another card that I'll get to later.Its if you played a good Macro(hahaha funny ha?)thats fast and they got all their Lightsworns and Darks removed and their Gates and Reasoning negated, but its one card.
The next card I'm going to talk about is the one I said I'll get to later a paragraph ago.That is Deck Lockdown.Now if you don't know this one, I'm not surprised. I didn't even know until gino wrote about it.Thanks gino. Anyway look it up at yugioh wikia. What it does is turn off searching to add to hand.Also special summoning from the deck is a no-no.Sangan?No.Monster Gate.Hell no!Reasoning?Get that crap outta here!Its continous and last until your second standby phase after activation.Shuts down common forms off speed.Your opponents tempo is off so he has to wait a bit or waste his precious S/T removal that he/she would normally use for the big finish.
Well that's Deck Lockdown.The next card locks down the back row for a whole round.Yes ladies and gentlemen its Cold Wave.I know some of you are only seeing this card recently but I've used this card back in the day when the format was like this.I'm talking about Chaos, and like what it does to DAD, it does the same to Chaos.This card is amazing for a number of uses.A big finish.Stopping an opponent from getting the upper hand.Or like you all want to use it for, to stop those spells from touching the back row for speed.This card screams control and forces your opponent to screw up plans and his/her tempo.
The last card I'm going to talk about in this article is Plasma.Yes people Plasma.He is the leader for the anti-movement of this format.His cost is now easy with Scapegoat and Fires of Doomsday.Just put him down and watch time stop.Suck up there trump and send him in.Imagine if you used Cold Wave before.Yes its amazing.Well this is where I conclude.The next article I write will be a continuation of this with deck to compliment
