I went to San Francisco last summer for my honeymoon and decided to try some fish. I'd never really been a fish eater. In fact, I couldn't stand it. Just the smell made me nauseous. But I was told that SF has the best seafood on the planet, so I had to try it. A crab cake and fish and chips later, and I was hooked. Once I got home, I cooked my own salmon - delicious. Then I decided to cook my own scallops - fantastic. The next logical step was to build a merfolk deck - delightful. Just li... Read More
Limited Long Distance (Phone)-Calls (Note: Very long, turn back if you can’t handle the reading. I tried to throw in bouts of humor as to not making your brain fry halfway in.) So far my experience with shadowmoor in limited has been, well rather limited to say the least. I have last participated in a magic tournament almost a month ago at pre-release due to going back home and having know where to play legitimately that wouldn’t take at least a half hour to drive to. Normally... Read More
A faerie and a goblin walk into a bar. The goblin doesn't notice, the faerie gets a concussion. As far as Lorwyn block is concerned Faeries and RG are the two most hotly debated decks. I may not be a great deck builder, but I have a knack for seeing things other may miss (it comes from a chemical imbalence of the brain, , , located in my pant... Read More
Hi, I'm a guy who works 7 days a week and has little time to play Magic, but I love the game so much I just end up thinking about it all the time. I often have difficulty making decks because I want to use so many different cards. I think of a combo and want to make a deck using it, or I'll trip over a card interaction while playing in a draft and I'll want to add that to an exsisting deck. Basically my deck ideas come from Chaos. In order to bring a little order... Read More
Introduction As it was so kindly pointed out to me, the meta for this format can’t really be known until MTGO events start happening with SHM added to the barely developed LRW block. Disregarding that, I can still make educated guesses on what decks are good and some of what will be played at the earliest PTQ events and at GP Birmingham. Whatever other guesses people make, though, it is a surety that the main deck to beat will be Faeries with the runner up being various Elf builds. Dealin... Read More
