Well, as you can all tell. My blogging has been severely lacking lately. Originally I set out on a quest here on TCGplayer.com to write a weekly blog focusing on my foray into the WoW trading card game, as well as highlight my quest to come up with a playtesting group. Now there's alot none of you know about my personal life, one being the wonderful woman I've been dating for some time now. And herein lies the reason for my lack of blogging... We're getting married on the 28th of t... Read More
When I woke up Saturday morning I obviously had to draft. I hopped in an XXX queue and soon enough I was first picking a Merfolk Looter. Draft 3: Saturday Morning Format: XXX Online This was a fairly standard, fairly unexciting draft. I forced blue and got strong white signals so I picked it up as my second color. By the end, I had 24 strong blue and white cards, cut one of them and went to battle. My overall plan was to play lots of fast guys and attack and then to finish them off... Read More
You can find part one here. By the time I made it down to the store, it was 6:45. I had 45 minutes to test before FNM started. I may have drafted too much in the past 36 hours. I drafted XXX on Friday. Then, I went to FNM later that night. I woke up Saturday morning to discover I had enough packs for another XXX. Then about 3:00 I got a call from tomjoad. They needed a 6th for cube draft. Around 11:00 that night, I stumbled through my front door realizing I had done 6 drafts in 36 hours. Here are their stories and, more importantly, the stories from in between. Draft 1:Friday Afternoon Format: XXX Location... Read More
Memorial Day wiped out the usual Monday draft I would do which left me with a hunger for a Shadowmoor draft. This was filled later in the week when some of the local pros around here also had a hunger for Shadowmoor drafting. I met Cheeks, Scheel, and Nick Crumpton for some 2v2 drafting at the local store -- random teams, winner keeps the cards. For the first draft I was paired with Cheeks with Scheel to my left and Crumpton to my right. I must admit that my very first pick... Read More
