So we’ve all been standing around building decks, calling up our buddies and bribing them to come over and play test, and most, if not all of us, have been trying to concept a new deck. Rounds 1-3 I lost the first two in humiliating fashion as a result of my own play mistakes. Against Mr. Orsini-Jones from Round 1 I went up a game despite mulling to five, then kept a risky 1-lander with Search, Top, and STE. That was a mistake, and in the third game I made the wrong decision with a Living Wish. Pro Tour: Valencia is over and TrinketGoyf is our champion! I really thought an Invasion land deck would pull it out, but my prediction was not far off. I am going to be writing an article about my thoughts on the top eight decks and probably the tournament as a whole, so stay tuned for that.
