I'm not able to make it to States, which I hate because I did a lot of testing for the new standard with plenty of successes and failures. I expect a great majority of the field to be aggro. The only major control netdeck is Teachings, and I thought many players would rather pick up a deck full of creatures rather than tune the block deck to deal with new problems like Gaddock Teeg, Planeswalkers, Treetop Village, etc. That's not to say there won't be control decks or Pickles because ther... You know why I don't use this site more often? It's ???ing slow. I type in "my.tcgplayer.com" and have to wait longer than any other site I regularly hit. I'm almost just too fed up to keep tolerating it. Sure, sites I've run haven't always been "the fastest" either, but I'm not trying to attract a huge audience. This really bugs me. Tonight I struck upon a strategy I will be returning to in the near future: RG Elves/Giants. Here is the actual deck I drafted: 9 Forest8 Mountain 1 Fistful of Force1 Lash Out1 Consuming Bonfire2 Incremental Growth 3 Elvish Handservant2 Woodland Changeling2 Wren's Run Vanquisher1 Ash... Pagatha Soulbinder, a hero that disappeared from major top 8 appearances since DMF Chicago. It was defeated in its anti-Phaladus form by many control decks, including Hoot N Shoot and Aleya Dawnborn control. It was cast forgotten further after Omedus rush/combo and Nathadan control took over the metagame. Given that a deck has to contend with both the fastest ally deck and the leading late-game ender, Pagatha can do both. Old rush answers such as Rain of Fire are obsolete... Read More
