I chose to build this sealed deck this way for a few reasons:

1.) Treefolk was clearly my best tribe. I wanted to abuse my Timber Protector as much as possible. The best way to do that was to load up on treefolk (duh) and Changelings. Black offered up three Changelings (Skeletal Changeling, Ghostly Changeling, and Cairn Wanderer) and my treefolk base was already extremely deep.

2.) I wanted to be able to reliable cast Wren's Run Vanquisher on turn two. The best way for me to do that, again, was to include a lot of Changelings.

3.) Lastly, I really wanted to play Final Revels. Infest is always an extremely powerful effect in sealed deck. My deck also plays very well with Final Revels because most of my creatures will survive the -0/-2 effect.

A lot of builds I saw in the forums were composed of blue cards and/or fairies. I don't really find most the fairies here to be that good. Everyone seems to think Dreamspoiler Witches is a great card. Personally, I really dislike the card and hardly ever want it in my deck. I have never seen it do anything spectacular before, and will keep my negative view until I do.

I considered playing the blue cards because of the 2 AEthersnips and the 2 Wings of Velis Vel, but in the end decided to play the more powerful Final Revels and Cairn Wanderer.

I ended up going 3-0 with this deck. This is the kind of sealed pool I hope to open in Louisville on Saturday. Wish me luck!

Any comments/questions, you know where to leave em!

1 card off my build, and the 1 card is Oblivion Ring. CEDRIC, its the best common in the set and you have the Twig and Fertile Ground and on top of that your playing 5 black cards so you can getaway with the manabase I posted.

Witches are good, but how good depends on how many solid instants are in the pool, which isn't controllable as in draft.  At worst, assuming never killing one creature via -1/-1 or combat trick,  a 3B 2/2 flyer is not the worst card we've seen in sealed, but I do think the pool had enough to make them very good.

Timber Protector is really good, and when you have two, green is going to be a contender for a color in the deck which is why I wasn't sure whether UB or GB would have been better.  I'm still not, as I think you probably would have 3-0'd with UBr/UBw as well.  What a decent pool, sir.

Is Louisville a PTQ or a GP?  I ask cuz it seems kinda far for you to travel no?

Anyway, i think your build is probably the best build I have seen.  It's much harder to come up with the proper build when you are only looking at the names of the cards and not the actual cards themselves.  Good Luck in Louisville!

P.S.  I like the Sealed pool idea for your blog,  but once Llorwyn is full-fledged and everybody has the proper cards online, you are going to give us updates right?

"Everyone seems to think Dreamspoiler Witches is a great card."

At least in draft it is a great card. I've had it when enough games for and against me to know how good it is. In a good faeries deck if you get one to stick you basically win. It turns basically every card in the deck into 2 for 1s, which makes it crazy good card advantage.

I'm curious how often you drew the timber protector or the treefolk harbinger? Also I'm curious as to how the Gilt-Leaf Seer was for you. That card seems rather poor to me. Thoughts?
