The Source (Preview)

I have been reviewing comic books with some success since March now on  Darkseid's Revenge. I am happy with what I am doing over there and I like the fact that I am able to bring that to Versus’ players. Everyone can now get a glimpse at the source material for the cardboard creations we love.

Mike and Chedy both presented me with a great opportunity to become a featured blogger for TCGplayer and I accepted, so now I will be able to bring my ramblings to the TCG communities frequenting the boards here and hopefully win over some of those players from other games such as YuGi-Oh and World of Warcraft!

What I want to do here on TCGplayer is going to be a little different than what I do over on Darkseid's Revenge. There I stick to the comic’s and review them detail for detail. The reflection in the Versus TCG is often lost, in between making sure readers get the plot and understanding of the comic book I barely have enough time to get into the cards. Here I am going to do the opposite and try to take my time to bring that reflection to the Versus TCG. This should be interesting and if I am getting sidetracked at any time please let me know. Hopefully, this appeases some form of inner harmony for me personally.

Now for those who just want the comic reviews I don’t want you to think that will stop. There will be comic reviews here on TCGplayer as well as on Darkseid's Revenge so stay tuned to both sites, each will have its own exclusive titles that you will not be able to find at the other. You can check out the Comic Book Discussion threads for ANY updates to ongoing series that I review. If you want to drop opinions or counter reviews then that’s the place to do so.

So what exclusive titles can you expect to get here on TCGplayer I the near future? You can definitely expect the Final Crisis series and any branches that occur out of that title such as; Green Lantern, Black Adam and more…

As many of you can tell Darkseid's Revenge can get pretty crowded with reviews as there are often more than 5 series to review in a given week, TCGplayer affords me that space in order to keep things organized and clear. Check back for Final Crisis #1 later this week as we bring you the first of the Source’s reviews.

Oh, one last thing before I get into this week’s Source Material. If you are interested in doing a Joint Review of a comic you would like the community to be aware of that I may have left on the shelf or you know of an upcoming title I will be reviewing and you want to give your take on it, then please drop me an email and we will arrange this. I hope you enjoy what I intend to bring to TCGplayer.

I'll extend and invitation to Guglio as the first Double Feature Review for TCGplayer. Guglio if you accept let me know and i'll get you the scans of Final Crisis #1.
