(Regarding Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
Part IV: Items
Cracker Launcher: This actually looks really good. You can aim it up and it looks really effective. I don’t think it has too much ammo but it can sure annoy an opponent.
Pitfall: Cool a pitfall. There’s finally another way to drill your opponent into the ground. If you throw it at them when they are in the air then it gets them with a spiral to the ground.
Franklin Badge: This is the item we all needed. There’s always that person that sits back an launches their projectile, now you can grab a badge and rush them. It’s nice to see a way for other characters to reflect projectiles too (other than shielding).
Smart Bomb: The item looks just nuts. It’s got a big bullet-bill like explosion that just ruins some players. Actually, it’s very similar to the explosion caused by the bullet-bills in the last game. Sweet.
Assist Trophy: Excitebike: Crazy! They take the old NES biker and throw him in as an assistant. He looks like he runs just like the Advance Wars assistant too.
Assist Trophy: Lyn: I kinda wanted Lyn as a playable character, but Ike worked out better. Anyway, her assist move looks great. I’m not sure how it aims exactly, but it’s probably accurate. She just kinda disappears they slashes. I guess that’s cool.
Pokeballs: I didn’t really care much for the poke balls when assist trophies were revealed. Why limit assistants to only pokemon with such a vast field of characters to choose from? Anyway, some of these pokemon had to chance as playable, but I think using the poke balls are still cool. It would have been funny if they left Charizard as a poke ball though.
