Yeah, the wording might be a little confusing. It just means that you can’t play it if an opposing defender became stunned this turn. Just play it during your first attack that turn or if an attack you control didn’t go through causing a defender to stun.
Okay, it’s a card for Future Foes. On top of that, it’s a Future Foes card that requires breakthrough. Rather than actually causing that breakthrough, instead you can stun an opposing character with DEF less than or equal to the assumed amount of breakthrough that would have been caused. You’re probably thinking that it’s difficult to cause breakthrough on your “first” attack that turn, but through the magic of Blind Sided, it inevitably happens. So, how do you cause enough breakthrough to stun a character worthwhile? You can use Savage Beatdowns, Blinding Rages and Flying Kicks to increase your ATK, and soon enough, it simple to stun an opposing 4 or 5 drop. The best part about this card is that it doesn’t target a character to stun, meaning that there won’t be a chance for your opponent to evade or use their tricks after you choose who to stun. Also, because it targets your Future Foes character, if you can magically manage to ready your attacker through means other than Need For Speed, then you could manage serious extra stuns. Using Flying Kick and other plot twists that boost ATK while attacking this turn you could rip an opposing field apart.
Free stuns are always fun, and because it doesn’t target a character to stun, there won’t be any greedy old Pathetic Attempts stealing anything from you.
