Dearest TCG community,
My name is Ken, and I plan on using this space to talk about the parts of Magic that are important to me: deckbuilding and tweaking. I have always been the type of person who builds as many decks as possible as soon as a new set comes out. I have been known to overcommit my time and effort across all the decks I think about, but lately I have been focusing on what I really want to play in the current standard environment.
I have not been playing this game for very long, I am a refugee from Star Wars CCG and Lord of the Rings TCG. Those games taught me a lot about learning how to play a card game, taking command of strategy and deckbuilding, and also how to have fun in the process.
My first MTG tournament was the Planar Chaos prerelease, and ever since then I have been building my collection, trading, and working my way through the local tournaments. FNM is a great way to start. I have gained much experience in losing gracefully, making good decisions, and putting enough time and effort in to finally win.
With the release of Morningtide, I have been reluctant to pick a deck or strategy that I will devolop and play, and thus have been avoiding FNM for a few weeks.
During the next few days/weeks, I'll be exploring the ups and downs of several decks that I would like to try out. Any imput is always appreciated.
Ken
