well it was that time of the month (in a non womanly sense) when vs is held at the local istead of yu gi oh, and the first time i had gone :) well first of it was a lot quiter, and not so much youngens playing, which tbh was nice for a change :)
i was playing my avangers reservist deck, which has so far been treatiing me very wel for a first timer :) i tend atm to win more games than i loose, but as im constructiong my own deck (future foes) i dont expect that to go quite as well :P
my first game, against jack (who was playing marvel deffenders) didnt go well at all, we both managed not to hit our high drops till turn 9, where on turn 8 i had to blow up all my resources to recruit things, only to get my 7 rop hercules, i couldnt recruit. however that was my only loss of the day, so i idnt mind loosing (seeing as he did go on to win the whole thing :P)
my second match was against dave who was plaing his x-men swarm deck (ive played alot against this in the past and normally it gets owned by my avengers) however i yet again didnt managed to hit my higher drops, but due to hawkeye and acasional team attacking with natasha ment i broke up his formation, and i came out on top with that game
the third match was against cam, who was also playing marvel defenders, however this time i maaged to hit al my drops, while he didnt seem to have much luck, and managed to win on turn 5 (this is the second time against cams deck iver done so, howeverthe first time i did, he managed not to get a charecture ut till turn 3 :)
the last match was against nathen, who was playing masters of evil summit or other,ad again the game went fast, nathen appeared not to get the drops he wanted, and it ended on turn 6 with wonderman doing masive damage.
with the tourney over i had secured at lest a 3rd place (which i was quite chuffed about) however it was possible for me to get to 2nd if james won his match against dave. outsiders v xmen, and dave had managed to get a good hand the first time that eve, and beat james by quite a lot.
for a first time at a larger event, i enjoyed myself quite a bit, and we even had time for another mini event after, with just 5 of us, which went well for me (i won :D)
