How can you be a preseason Player of the Year or a preseason All-Star or a preseason (insert award here)? I don't get it. They always say it when talking about Drew Neitzel. Has he not done anything else worth talking about? Seems like an arbitrary thing to say.
Driving to Butler for the PTQ was terrible. Athens to Columbus to Youngstown to Butler (for various stops to pick up folks). Never doing that ever again ever. Also, if you were there, do you remember hearing the announcement about the car with its headlights on? Yea, it was mine. I was not in the room when the announcement was made. Needed a jump from AAA. God awful.
Heath Ledger actually just died. Sad, I guess, if you actually cared about that guy. I think I heard it happened in Mary-Kate Olsen's apartment, and if that's true then that's kind of fricking hilarious if you think about it. Don't be afraid. It's hilarious.

Bill Belichik is a recognized and documented cheater and now he's the Coach of the Year and in the Super Bowl. Apparently everyone forgot that. That's like Katsuhiro Mori making the top 8 at Worlds after getting banned for cheating and everyone forgetting about it... Oh wait, that did actually happen...

I do not think that I could dislike the band Fall Out Boy more than I do. The previous statement also applies to Paramour, My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, and Carlos Mencia.
For those of you who read the last two sentences and thought to themselves "hey, isn't there an exclamation point in the middle of Panic at the Disco's name?" please go kill yourselves. It is not a cool band name thing to blatantly misuse punctuation. It's just stone cold idiotic.

I have a quandry. People have told me that if I focused more on Magic I could be good. I mean like actually good, not just pretend that I'm good at Magic because I win FNMs and prerelease tournaments. But therein lies the problem: I can't focus more on Magic. I make enough money playing poker at college to not have to have a real job, so that takes a lot of my time. Add to that classes, homework, and family and friend obligations and I don't got a ton o' time left on my hands. (This blog doesn't count; I write this thing when I'm bored and can't sleep at 2:30 in the morning and I make The Main Phase videos when I have a day to set aside to do it)
I recently took part in a Revised draft with some Team Lucksack teammates. I won and got me (among other things) a Fork, Counterspell, Juggernaut, Llanowar Elves, and Winter Orb (all mint, obviously). I want to get my Winter Orb personalized with the angry polar bear saying "I Can Has Al Gore?" and some melting icecaps on it. I also got a Deathlace, but I might just rip it apart and sell the shredded paper for as much as I could selling the Deathlace.
If Mitt Romney wins the election I'm moving to Canada. You can all meet me in Windsor or Niagara or wherever there's a casino if you need me.
I like the Champion mechanic. I like Clash. I like Kinship. So sue me.
