Nice long blog, eaten. Grumble, grumble. Short version now.
I judged at the prerelease on Saturday. It went well. We started our first flight fifteen minutes early because it had filled up to 32. Our second flight launched with 60 because we weren't prepared to split it into two groups of 32.
Burrenton Bombardier is very good; take it around when you would take Avian Changeling (very high). All the Tribal Equipment seems good. Black was the most popular at the Prerelease, at one point we ran out of Swamps. Green was the second most popular. White was the least popular.
I played in a flight. My pool had great removal, but poor creatures. I played Blue/red but maybe should have gone Green/red.

I went 1-2. Technically 2-2, but the first win was against a no show. I lost three games to mana screw, very frustrating. I hate having a two land hand; you just know that a mulligan is very likely to be worse, but you just die if you don't draw another land or two.
FNM
A quick mention of the FNM from the night prior to Prerelease Saturday. I played Elves! to experience it. I played 3 other Elves decks on the night (to varying degrees of elfdom), but I was playing the tightest list. I took an intentional draw round 4 but lost in 3 when we played. I made a misplay on the final turn when my opponent took me by surprise by having two Nameless Inversion in hand, one would not have been a surprise, but based on how the game had been flowing, two was a surprise. It is a good deck, but not entirely my style so I'll probably switch to something else for the next FNM and City Champs this weekend.
Monday night draft: cancelled again. Possibly weather related, possibly because most people had no money after the prerelease. Annoying because this is the third in a row that hasn't fired.
Sorry for the brief blog, I'm not going to retype everything after it was lost. It was good of course, but not so amazingly good that I'm going to retype it.
