Title: The Overlooked: Archfiends: The Next Level

Blog Entry: A just showed you a really good, low cost archfiend deck. The deck had many good things to it, but failed in many. Today I'll re-review the archfiend deck and edit it. This time I won't be working on a budget. Now for the changing. Didnt see the first one? Go to this link-http://my.tcgplayer.com/blog/view/id_2334/title_the-overlooked-archfiends/ The Monsters 3 Archfiend General 3 Archfiend Soldier 3 Evil Hero Infernal Gainer 3 Zure, Knight of Dark World 3 Imprisoned Queen Archfiend 2 Opticlops 3 Shadowknight Archfiend First to move off the list is going to be the three Imprisoned Queen Archfiends. They were good for a budget version, but not THAT good. I'm going to be replacing them with two Doom Shamin. Doom Shamin can revive all of your dead Archfiend Generals. Not to mention it combos with Swing of Memories. Next, one Zure, Knight of Dark World. He's good, but three is to many. That free slot goes to Snipe Hunter. Snipe Hunter gives us removal, which this deck used to fall short on.  If you were counting, I have one more slot. I'm putting Dark Magician of Chaos in because he's really good, and spells are going to become more important in this fix now that Doom Shamin is in it. The new monster lineup looks like this: 3 Archfiend General 3 Archfiend Soldier 3 Evil Hero Infernal Gainer 2 Zure, Knight of Dark World 2 Doom Shamin 2 Opticlops 3 Shadowknight Archfiend 1 Snipe Hunter 1 Dark Magician of Chaos The Spells 3 Cold Wave 3 Swing of Memories 1 Fissure 1 Fires of Doomsday 1 Monster Reborn 1 Premature Burial 3 Pandemonium I thought that I got this one pretty right. But more can be done. I'm taking out Fires of Doomsday and Fissure. Both were good, but looking over the list, they aren't as good in this build as they were in the older one. I'm not going to use those slots up on spells, or at least not both slots. One of them is going to be used for Mystical Space Typhoon. This deck needed more Spell and Trap killers. The new spell list looks like this: 3 Cold Wave 3 Swing of Memories 1 Monster Reborn 1 Premature Burial 3 Pandemonium 1 Mystical Space Typhoon The Traps 2 Skill Drain 2 Rivalry of Warlords 2 Dust Tornado 1 Level Limit - Area A I really had to think about this one. Before I wrote this article, I knew that Mirror Force had to go in. So that's going to fill that extra slot from the spells. Now, I'm adding Torrential Tribute, one more Rivalry of Warlords, and one more Skill Drain. So I'm going to take out one Dust Tornado and Level Limit - Area A. This leaves the deck at 41 cards, which I'm fine with.
