Title: Unbeliavable things---Part 3
Tags: Vs. System Team Superman Fatal Five
Blog Entry: Welcome back to yet another part of this not-meant-to-be series of Unbelievable things. This time, however, it didn't happen while playing on MWS but it happened right at my Hobby League.   We, living in a country where there are little to no access to cards, started doing our Hobby leagues with a Golden Age format, then seeing that High Voltage and Good Guys wrecked all other competitors decided to change to Modern Age, making new players enter into a more competitive environment. Since we haven't got Marvel Universe (and it may still pass about a month or two, at least, to get it) we were frankly tired of seeing the same decks every week, so this time we decided to play it on a Silver Age format. There were several kind of decks: 1 Skrull/inhumans, 1 Skrull/inhumans/Gotham knights/marvel knights, 1 Kree/heralds of Galactus, 1 team superman, 1 Wolverine Legend, 1 Future foes, 1 JLA flash legend, and about 3 other decks that involved the known-thanks-to-his-brokenness Ahmed Samsarra.   The unbelievable match happened in the last round, a pairing between Team superman and the opposing player being the Future Foes/Fatal Five theme. I was neither of those players so I really don't know how it happened the first 3 turns (I arrived at turn 4 but nothing that I couldn't tell from the field). By the time I got there it was turn 4, the Future Foes player had 1 Mano, Fatal Five 1 Emeral Eye, Sentient Arctifact and 1 Emerald Empress, Fatal five on his field, and the Team Superman player had the worst possible match-up a Fatal Five player could face: Maggie Sawyer, Gotham Central, protected by Natasha Irons <> Steel, Unlikely alloy and 1 Kandor, City in a bottle. Even though the Fatal Five player had hit almost the perfect curve, and the team superman had about the worst hand possible, the Fatal five couldn't do 1 single point of endurance damage (since they could only attack Natasha, who was reinforced and is by herself Invulnerable, and every attack would just recover her, because of the Fatal Five ability, so any attacks would be futile).   Team supes had yet another bad draw and didn't play anything on turn 5, and the Fatal five saw Validus, Fatal five enter play. This means that there wouldn't be any damage done this turn. However the fatal five was far from beaten since that in turn 6, the persuader, Fatal five, was instead replaced by Mordru, the Merciless, so at least a little damage was gonna be done this turn, the superman team however had Superman, Man of tomorrow next to maggie. This forced the future foes to go after natasha and then after Maggie to do some damage, but Kandor was there to stop that, making the second, third and fourth attack into Superman.   The superman player had no way to search for their characters, and apparently the deck was too tired to compete, since it was turn 8 and there was still only those 3 characters on the field. (he had superman, bulletproof in his hand though, so if this somehow went to turn 9 it was over for the future foes). Future foes recruited Universo, Vidar and passed, he needed to do about 24 damage, and only had 3 characters left (universo, Mordru and Validus).  After the attacks ended the score was this Team Superman 1/ Future foes 38... The future foes had a busted knee...but was negated by early edition...those 2 endurance costed him the game.   An almost perfect curve got wrecked by a 1 drop character and a single location!!   Wait...let me just say that again with well picked words. A 1 drop character and a location wrecked a complete deck. This is a thing that I probably won't saw again in my entire life!   This ends this third part of Unbelievable things, thanks for reading this, and I hope to see yet another unbelievable thing to write about.   YGO Daedalus/Liberi Fatali
