Title: Future metagame predictions
Tags: metagame future
Blog Entry:          Hey yugioh players today im gonna tell you what i bielieve will be the future of the format. Do i believe that lightsworn will live up to the hype or how about a cheap battery build suprise read on and find out.          First of all im not the best player and ive never attended a shonen jump but i have been playing ever since lob so ive lived through the chaos years and now more recently dark armed years. The local scene where i play is no slouch if your not running a shonen jump quality deck your not winning that simple. now with the release of a new set , a new ban list and a new meta to follow with the next shonen jump. How can you get a jump on the shonen jump scene and become a local god for winning a jump?          Well the deck to be running is (theres actually a couple but go with me here) Dark armed return.  I know your saying how is that a prediction when its currently a reality well that is exactly how i can predict that time and time again its proven to be the fastest most consistent deck to hit the meta often fueling debates on whos better bls or dad. Now that the obvious is out of the way how about i tell you what i believe can compete with the big dog. Its simple a couple puny monsters with under 1000 atack coupled with a couple finisher and draw power that ocasionaly matches dark armed builds. Heres the deck i have built that routinely takes down dark armed return. (fyi ill be comparing decks to dad alot because until theres another deck out there with such speed theres no point not to prepare for the best deck youll be facing time and time again at a shonen jump) 2x caius the shadow monarch 2x cyber dragon 2x exiled force 2x d.d crow 3x blue thunder t45 3x guardian of order 1x card trooper 1x disk commander 1x sangan 1x dd warrior lady 1x ducker mobile cannon 1x the calculator spells 1x mst 1x heavy storm 1x reinforcements of the army 2x trade in 2x hand destruction 1x premature burial 1x monster reborn traps 3x limit reverse 3x solemn judgement 1x mirror force 1x torential tribute 1x pheonix wing wind blast 3x reckless greed  Heres it is it has been playtested for hours and hours the whole deck is full of synergy. Alot of players dont like hand destruction cause its a minus 1 but in this deck it lets you put valuable targets for limit reverse in the graveyard and increases your chances of getting key cards such as limit reverse, caius, guardian of order and the calculator. The trade ins let you go through more while getting a useless guardian out of your hand and more chances to get key cards. The win conditions here are obvious and the deck gets to them pretty quicly while effectively slowing your opponet down and can ocasionally put your opponet on complete lockdown letting you push for 1000 + damage multiple turns in a row until you finishing blow them with guardian of order or caius or the calculator. This deck puts almost every move you do to a plus 1 on your part gaining card advantage and maintaning field presence.           Feel free to tet the deck out and tweak it and comment how this deck fared for you. The next blog i do will be on a truly viscious batteryman build that otks consistently. That will be up either in a week or two or maybe even a couple of days depending on your responses and how this blog goes.
